The final quarter of 2021 saw notable shifts in the performance of the top social apps on the Android platform in Mexico. Here’s a closer look at the trends observed for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Facebook Lite, and X during this period.

TikTok experienced significant growth in both revenue and downloads throughout Q4 2021. Weekly revenue peaked at approximately $22K in early November, while weekly downloads surged to 716K in the week of December 20. Active users remained fairly stable, fluctuating around 23M to 24M.

Instagram also showed robust performance, particularly in active users, which saw a steady rise to nearly 40.4M by the end of December. Weekly downloads spiked to around 430K in the week of December 20. Revenue, however, remained modest, peaking at around $764 in early October.

Facebook maintained a strong presence with consistent weekly downloads and active users. Downloads reached a peak of 189K in early October, while active users hovered around 55M to 56M. The app's weekly revenue showed a steady increase, reaching approximately $21K by the end of December.

Facebook Lite continued to attract users with its lighter version, showing a consistent download rate that peaked at around 169K in mid-December. Active users also remained strong, with numbers fluctuating between 9.7M and 10.5M throughout the quarter.

Lastly, X saw a varied performance in downloads, peaking at 145K in early October. Active users witnessed a slight increase, peaking at 9.9M in the same period.
